Paradigm Robotics is a Austin based robotics startup building advanced and versatile robotic platform solutions to provide mission critical situational awareness for firefighting, disaster response, industrial/manufacturing, and other industries. We help protect the brave in the most hazardous of environments. Firefighters nationwide are exposed to life-threatening situations while searching for human life in structural fires, leading to tens of thousands of injuries, dozens of fatalities, and lifelong illnesses.
Paradigm Robotics flagship product, FireBot, is the world’s first high-temperature resistant unmanned search-and-rescue robot designed to efficiently search burning buildings for human life and identify hazardous situations, safely providing firefighters mission-critical information. FireBot’s award-winning technology revolutionizes firefighting by mitigating over $2B of annual injury expenses and drastically reducing fatalities - keeping our brave heroes safe.
FireBot is a complex system with many novel challenges, as heat impacts all our systems in different ways. The mechanical systems are no exception: traditional structures will expand, corrode, and ultimately fail under high temperatures. Having developed our V4 platform under the guidance of world-class faculty and advisors, we are currently developing novel propulsion and structure systems for our next generation, commercial Gen 1 platform that will withstand these conditions.
